As a customer what do you look for, from a sales person?

Absolute Certainty. What I mean, what kind of certainty you are showing during the sales process. Now I know what kind of question that arises in your mind. How do I give certainty.

Let us go thru this exemple, Ex : If I am taking out my family for a holiday to Dubai or Kuala Lumpur or Sydney , what kind of certainty I show when I am taking around the city. Bcos of the comfort what I have with place, the same will be if I take them out to some place where I have not been there will I able to show.

But my question here is ? is certainty depends on the experience . Not really, you may have certainty even if you are new to something. Bcos one of the biggest learning in my sales career is, how confident you project will bring certainty to the customer.

Check the activity you are doing every day and take a paper and list out what kind of certainty you are giving to your counter part. If your certainty is anything less than 8 , I doubt you can sell yours.

It is not only necessary for selling, It may be for the idea which you want to see from your boss , or to your children to your friend or to your spouse or to your business partner or to your colleague or to your team or whom ever may be….. Certainty has impact to make or loose the sales.

I am sure you have the learned one of the key aspect of sales.

Dear Parent,

Who plays a significance role in the Child’s development?

YOU! As a Parent definitely you play a very important role in the Child’s Life and Growth. And does it become important for you to understand your Child so as to guide them to perform better in life.

Many time children communicate in certain ways which need to comprehended and understand. Children do their best to communicate and it the so called Generation Gap that build a gap between the parent and child. As we break this Gap, the children definitely respond to our directions and words.

Why this Training Program?

In today’s fast paced world, Parents need to work on the child much more than what they used to ensure that we make the right decisions and choices for the child. Instead of getting caught between our thoughts and the child’s likes and dislikes it is important for us as a parent to maximize the potential that a child has and make them Super Achievers.
The Adolescent age of a child tends to be a crucial time when the children need maximum help. One of the main reasons children tend to do learn or listen to parents is because of the Rapport between the parents and children. Friends become priority and guidance from parents become even more important.

The Parenting Module

OnlySuccess, Asia’s biggest training company focuses on variety of training, Children being one of them. After conducting many training programs across various countries and training over 80,000 parents in 3 countries, OnlySuccess has structures the “The Parenting Module Training Program”. This training program is structured not with the intention of parenting but with the intention of understanding the child better to make them perform better.

The Parenting Module Learning’s include

1. Understanding the BEHAVIOR of the Child
2. Managing the so called DIFFICULT CHILDREN during adolescence
3. Building Strong RAPPORT with kids to as to instruct them
4. Develop a Strong COMMUNICATION Channel between the Parent and the Child
5. Respecting a Child’s World and responding in the right way
6. Understanding a Child’s STRENGTHS & AREAS OF IMPROVEMENT
7. Raising Children in the POSITIVE CLIMATE
8. The Power of PYGMALION Effect
9. Learn the POSITIVE QUALITIES of a POSITIVE PARENT
10. Increase and build a child’s SELF ESTEEM

Who must attend the training program?

Every parent who wish to make their child a Super Achiever. We highly recommend BOTH Parents of a Child to attend the program to understand the child better. A family can always bring out the best in everyone.

Trainers of the Parenting Module

Vidyashankar, CEO of OnlySuccess Learning Technologies and author of “101 Ways to Effective Parenting”, a soon to be released book and author of the Audio book, Super Secrets of Effective Parenting.

Can you forget your close friend name or your child name or your spouse name??

What will happen if you forget their name? That’s the end of the day for the relationship. It is as important as it is for your customer, how important to remember the customers name. How come you can say I will forget?

Very often used sentences are
1. I forget your name
2. I meet you sometime last year , not able to recall
3. It is here, but not coming out. Once he said now I am getting , yes tel me
4. I am meeting so many people everyday, so it is difficult remember all the names.
5. My memory is poor.
6. Call him with a different name.

Will you able to accept if the same happens to you. What kind of experience you are giving to your counter part.

Ex , You call him on his Hand phone and say “ Mr.Prabhakar Good morning How you doing” and ask for appointment. Rather than saying, I forget your name, can I come and meet you today.

Which one will have more impact? I am sure from now on; if you need to call some one call him by his/her name. Take pains to understand and pronounce his name. If you are not doing this then it is equal to insulting him . If you are not able to pronounce probably ask him, how do you spell and pronounce your name. You tell him, ask him are you doing it right?

I am sure this experience will create wonderful customer experience for your counter part.

HAPPY SELLING!!!!!

How are you treating your customer, Like Queen or Beggar?

Now you will raise a Question why I said treat the customer as a Queen?

Let us check this example. You are going to a restaurant where the service is good by addressing all your needs. He gives a warm welcome. All the waiters are so pleasing and serving nicely; before you leave they give special sweets as complementary to your child may be a balloon.

The previous week, you have been to a restaurant, where the food is awesome!!! But the service is pathetic. They made you to wait. A/C was not functioning on that day. They have not even bothered to apologize though you have complained that the A/C was not working.

If I asked you to choose a hotel, which one will you choose to go with your family or with friends if you need to have good entertainment and good experience.

I am sure the answer is the first one. The same thing is in your life. What kind of experience you give it to your customer. It will decide whether he needs to come back to you or not. Customer I meant, It may be your spouse or children or friends or vendors or whom ever you do transaction everyday.

I am sure from now on you will create a better customer experience for everyone without much of additional cost, which may fetch you few thousands of additional business.

I am sure quite few here say this, Knowing Is Knowing and Doing is doing.

I can say lot of example for this. One of the best examples whom I got lot of association to this statement is, you can ask the crowd,

How many people know that doing exercise is good?

Almost everyone will raise their Hands,

You ask them how many people are doing it everyday, 95% of Hands go down. All of us know that, doing exercise is good for health, but if I ask how many people does it everyday, not many. What is the difference between knowing and doing it?

Let me take this story. There is a person who won a first price in the lottery. Over night he became Multi – billionaire. He wants to go for a tour; he went out and stayed in a Good Star hotel where all the facilities were available. He said I want to swim. So the guys around him got some books on swimming, then the whole night he was spending time to learn how to swim, the next day morning he was so excited and went to floor where swimming pool is, he got changed into his swimming dress, when he is about to Jump he realized that he has never done it before.

The difference is Knowing always stops with Knowing only, Doing makes the real difference.

It is an amazing story which really inspired me a lot. There is a shoe manufacturing company which sent one of the sales person to new Island for expanding their networks.

This guy landed in the Island and he went into the hotel where he stayed and noticed that nobody was wearing shoes or slippers. He was really confused. He went to refresh, went out for a walk and noticed none were wearing shoes pr slippers. He is really shocked about their life and at the end of the day he is totally confused and checked with few people. He found that no one knows about what is meant by shoes. He had sleepless night and started worrying.

The next day early morning he wants to notice people who go for Jacking, He had shock of his life, none of them wear jacking shoe also. He came back to the room he was really waiting clock to hit 10am. Soon it is 10am, he sent out a fax saying no one in this Island wears shoe. This is not a place to sell our product; I am starting from here in the next available flight.

The management was not happy to leave the market. So they decided to send one more person. He came and landed saw the people who is not wearing the shoes. He was so happy. He also went and stayed in the same hotel and noticed none of them wear shoes. He was still happier. He went around the place until the fag end of the day. He noticed that no one wear shoes. He was so excited and sent out a FAX to his BOSS, Whatever the stocks you have, ship everything here, No one wears shoes or slipper we can sell minimum of two pairs to everybody, we will be pioneer to this market.

I am sure, by now you have realized the value of Opportunity. It is how you see Opportunity. It is the same product and same place. Only they differ by how you look at things. I am sure each and every one of you has multiple experience of this in your life. So SEE THE OPPORTUNITY.

What is your closing average? Am I talking some alien Language? What is meant by closing average?

Say for example you are meeting 100 customers. Out of that 60 converted into prospective and 30 are buying your product, which means your closing average is 30%.

In sales you must work in reverse, which means once you finalize the target - you need to work on the reverse. Means if you need to make 30 sales, your target must not be 30 Sales, your target must be meeting 100 customers

Let us check out this example, if you need to travel Chennai to Trichy by car, How will find out the time taken to reach there? First you need to check how many kilometers it is. Then in which vehicle will you be going and how fast you can drive. Ex Chennai to trichy 300 kms, and your average speed is 60 kms , you can reach in 5hrs.

Are we following this, According to the statistics, 95% of us does not follow this. They set a target saying I need to achieve some X nos, but they never back work on this. Follow this simple strategy and do let me know the results. It will be an amazing one.

Being in sales, desperation is one of the most common jargons used by almost all sales people. It is how good you handle it. Any sales person will have Weekly / Monthly / Yearly Target. When you’re on the target some of the sales guy really shows desperation.

I met a guy from a Bank for a Car Loan when I was in Friends office. I asked my friend why this guy is almost in crying stage. My friend said that, if you are not giving any order I don’t think that he will leave the place. My friend said listen Lakshmi, that sales guy is so desperate today to get my order and this is also month end. He is so desperate by now. This is the best time to get a better offer from this sales guy. Bcos he is telling if he is not getting the order today his boss will fire him. So I guessed that though he is achieving his target, his team will not have achieved the target.

So I was curious to check what was happening. My friend started bargaining. First he got the Better percentage, Bcos the loop holes came out the sales guy itself. My friend used to get the better discount on percentage of interest. When he was signing he asked I will not pay any processing fee or documentation fee. Sales guy is literally in crying stage by now. My friend said, I don’t want it. My friend said, I am going out and we went for a coffee. While we were returning this guy was with his boss, and his boss said okie I will knock the processing fee and documentation fee.

The take away is, you show your Desperation to your customer, Customer will take advantage of the situation. The same applicable whether you are a house wife or working professional or business owners or students or whom ever may be.. Once you show the desperation to others they will take the advantage of the situation.
